Our art is inspired through vision, experience and our connection to the earth. All of our works are created from original ideas and are not reproductions. Our art is a moment of awareness unfolding, each piece an original story through the filters of our perception. We are interested in how awareness can capture knowledge without using words, so we invite you to view the art and write your own story.
Don and Lorraine work individually and collaboratively to merge their ideas and techniques onto one piece of paper to create a piece of art that embodies the subtle balance of masculine and feminine energies.
Art is a technology by which humans figure out the world. Creativity is a revolutionary act. No matter what the discipline, we are all artists. My work is a sustainable developing dance of awareness with the world. From the tiniest particles to the broadest mountain ranges to the stars above, humans are integral parts and participants with creation. Each moment is an encapsulation of awareness. The burden of being fully human is the realization of being a mote in the grand unified wonder of the universe. The act of seeing the world increases knowledge revolving with intention each and every day. Awareness grows; we are propelled to action, to create. My creation records, tells stories of a path of wonder, knowledge. Awe continues to blind me each moment. My images are maps, diagrams, pictures and recordings, awareness of the precious mystery of the world. Sensing, knowing all the time, the beauty and intensity of each breath.
Don studied and learned from Native American elders the roots of his own spiritual past and the sacred path. Relocating to Oregon in 2000, he majored in print making and began to create artist’s books that tell visual stories of his spirit walk. Currently working with his wife on collaborative artwork, they are developing events, books, and prints that allow for healing of all mankind’s cultures in balance with our mother, the earth.

"Our diverse earth provides my greatest source of creative energy. The earth is so pure in essence and a supreme example of what it means to be alive. The tools of the artist are born of the earth; our ever-evolving cycles of change are synchronistic with hers when we become attuned to the wonder and the forces of nature. Birth, texture, renewal, abstraction, color, change, surrealism, and finiteness are but a few of the essential qualities that we share with the earth. She is not only a great provider but also a great teacher if only we take the time to stop to pay attention to the silent yet ever-unfolding stories of awareness that she so graciously and freely imparts upon us."
Growing up in the Northeast and having lived in the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest has proven to be a diverse and abundant experience, both environmentally and culturally. An Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master and energy worker, Lorraine strongly believes that each of us has the ability to be healthy and balanced by being open to the Universal Life Force Energy which flows through and around us at all times. Lorraine taught scuba diving for 13 years during which time she had the opportunity to experience fluidity, buoyancy and silence at very mindful and intense levels. “The sea is a continual source of creation and, in silence, speaks volumes. It is my hope that through my art, new creation stories will unfold, not only in silence but also in awareness that is unique to the perception of each witness.”
